MSN
hosted
a "Healthy
Eating”
seminar
at the
ever-popular Mehran
Restaurant.
Presenter Tahira
Malik
demonstrated
healthy
eating
habits with
Pakistani
food.
With the
seniors
in mind,
she
demonstrated
portion
sizes,
foods to
avoid,
and
strategies
to
combat
diabetes.
With an
interactive
discussion, Malik
made this
serious
topic
inviting
and
interesting.
The
seniors
enjoyed
most the
fact
that she
personalized meal
plans
for
individuals
according
to their
health,
body and
ages.
This
event
was
well-attended,
with an
audience
of
nearly
80
people.
The
surveys
confirmed
that
this
speaker
and
topic
were much
appreciated
and the
seniors
are
looking
forward
to future
events.

Field
Trip
MSN
sponsored
a
field
trip
to
the
Great
Mall.
Not
only
were
the
seniors
able
to
do
some
shopping,
they
got
the
recommended
exercise.
Attendees
indulged
in Shwarmas
from
Sam’s
Restaurant
located
in
the
food
court,
and
to
end
the
trip,
the
Paratransit
drove
the
seniors
to
the
Irvington
Mosque.
